The Worst Money-Making Val Kilmer Movies of All Time

Val Kilmer

Being a famous movie actor has its pros and cons. One pro is that nice paycheck for doing a job that’s probably significantly more fun than sitting cooped up behind a desk all day making minimum wage. Another pro is that you get to do something creative. The cons include becoming so famous you can’t go anywhere without being followed by cameras and people trying to get your attention. Another con is the fact that you probably cannot go your entire movie career making only wonderful films. There are likely going to be at least one or two movies that aren’t such a hit, movies you might actually regret making at some point in your life. Val Kilmer, for example, has made dozens of movies throughout the years and even though he’s great at what he does, there are just a few movies he claims that aren’t quite as good as the rest. Ever wondered what Val Kilmer movies he probably wishes he could forget? Here they are.

Bloodworth

Probably the movie he regrets most in his career, Bloodworth was released in 2011 and only earned a grand total of $12,971 in theaters. It’s not the worst money-maker, but it’s not a great one. This is a movie most of us never heard of – or bothered to see – so it’s no surprise to see it on this list. We wouldn’t, after all, expect to see something like Batman Forever. It was only shown in 10 theaters, but considering the fact that other Val Kilmer movies have been shown in fewer theaters and still made more money, it’s pretty sad.

5 Days of War

Do you even recognize the name of this movie? Neither do we; but that could have everything to do with the fact that it only made $17,000 in theaters. That’s right; only $17,000. We don’t know what the budget was for this film, or what Kilmer made off of it, but we do know that most movies tend to have a budget at least 10 times this amount (and usually a lot more) so these are pretty depressing results. Of course, it was only shown in 6 theaters across the country.

10th & Wolf

It was shown in 6 theaters from open to close, and it made $54,000 while it was in those theaters. That might not sound so bad, but the truth is that it’s not all that good. This movie never made it big, but it did make more money than at least two other films Kilmer made.
